After serving us for six and a half years, Pastor Biebert has accepted a divine call to a congregation in Texas. He is scheduled to preside at his final service with us on February 12, with a joint potluck dinner at the Town of Berlin Center to follow at noon.
On January 29, the voters of Grace and St. Paul extended a vacancy call to Pastor Robert Edwards of Our Savior’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. We thank him for his willingness to serve us with the gospel of Jesus in Word and sacraments until we receive another full-time pastor.
Jesus once said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Luke 10:2). This is as true today as it was when he said it. Please continue to pray that the Lord would move more young men to study for the pastoral ministry and would then send them out - trained, ready, and eager - into his harvest field.
